Maybe it’s a pet, a child, parent, spouse, or a landscape from a special trip, whatever it is I strive to take that section of your heart and create a window to it through paint and canvas.
About the Process
In my commissions, I work directly with an image, or several, that you provide and then collaborate with you to bring it to life using color, texture, and canvas. My goal is to work with you to understand your loved place, person, or thing and marry it with my style of vibrant use of colors and texture. Art is a process, and I seek to include you in the development of your piece to ensure that the character and personality of what you cherish come through in the paint. My favorite art teacher once told me, choose things to match the art in your home, not vice versa. It all begins with where you love. Consider those special places you’ve traveled near and far to visit, or consider your very own backyard. Using an image that you provide I bring to life the colors and atmosphere of the landscape you love.

It all begins with a person you love. I can work with you to capture them as they are in this moment. You choose, or we work together to choose, and image of your loved one. I then work from the image to bring forth their personality and likeness through vibrant colors and painterly textures.
